After the past few years of being regularly beaten about the head and shoulders by folks trying to get me to attend the Ameila Island concours, I’m finally going. It’s never been about not wanting to be there, more that I wanted to make sure I had a broad enough representation of my work before venturing out into the “deep water”. With the addition of the nearly completed 1967 Formula One series, 1967 Ford GT40 MKIV, the BMW 507 and Porsche 356 I think I finally have enough to stand along the side the Jaguars, Austin-Healeys, and Triumphs to fully represent my work.
As with the recent Automobilia show in Monterey, I’ll be part of a larger exhibit with my pal Doug Buchanan from Garage Graphics. Both of us were really happy about the synergies we were able to create at Automobilia and I am, after all, one of GG’s contributing artists so it makes perfect sense to support each other. Our booth space is going to be indoors in spaces # 33 and #34, about right in the middle of the Talbot Pre-Function area. We’ll be showing some large scale fabric prints as well as the new brushed aluminum works and, in addition to my work, will be featuring artists such as John Straub, Bill Pack, Denny Strauss, Steve Edson, Allan Rosenburg and others. You really don’t want to miss us.
So be there or be square.
