Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. If you’ve never been, you just gotta go so get yourself together and make plans to be there, July 21st and 22nd.. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. 6,000 cars, 50,000 people, and the only vintage race on a street course in America make the PVGP race weekend one of the “go to” events for and self-respecting car guy.
This year’s theme is the “Year of the Snakes” featuring Alfa Romeo and Shelby cars. For race fans, it ought to be epic to see your favorite Alfa GTS or Cobra negotiate the tight turns of the Schenley Park circuit or peruse the numerous well turned out examples that are bound to be in the various car corrals. Whether you’re a fan of Italian cars, British iron, German machines, or good old fashioned American muscle, there is quite literally, something for any car fan to see and enjoy.
To top it all off, there’s the city itself with all of its downtown eateries and entertainment. It’s just a fun place for a show both during the day and at night. Hope I see you there!
Here’s information direct from the event’s web site:
There is so much that happens on the Race Weekend in Schenley Park that we can’t fit it all on one page. Below are links to individual events that occur over the weekend.
