Well, not quite Hollywood. More like Newport Beach but, hey, they’re fairly close.
This December 7th, Morris and Welford, the US division of noted UK-based sales and restoration shop JD Classics, had a grand opening of its brand new facility in Newport Beach and featured, along with a number of Phil Hill photos, my XKSS and Cunningham artwork done up as a two-sided, 84″ x 192″ backlit display by Garage Graphics®. How cool is that?!
In addition to several millions of dollars worth of rare and collectible cars, there were a number of celebs on hand but, from a car guys point of view, the coolest had to be former Formula One champion, Jensen Button who was on hand as a representative for J&D Classics. Cars on hand included several vintage Ferraris, a Maserati, Cooper Climax, and Ferrari 312 Formula 1 racer. And, for those of us in a somewhat lower tax bracket, there was a way cool Rambler Ambassador wagon in pristine condition and a smattering of early Jaguars.
Here a few shots from the affair.
